A work-life effectiveness program was established at Primary
Metal with the aim to develop and promote a resilient
and engaged workforce.
Mutual
aid through peer group network
For more than eight years, the Primary Metal group has
sponsored a peer-group network of care providers active in
the workplace in most of Alcan's facilities in Quebec. The
peer group network is complementary to the Alcan Employee
Assistance Program (that offers personal and private support
with professional counsellors).
Logistics
solution adds value
The procurement team played a large role in helping the
Ham Engineered Products extrusion plant in France deal with
a logistics problem that included multiple loading gates,
long waiting times and long loading times.
