EHS FIRST was introduced in 2003 as a company-wide environment, health and safety (EHS) management mindset to establish excellence in environment, health and safety everywhere Alcan operates. It is based on ensuring a consistent and standardized EHS approach towards people, the environment and the community. By establishing indicators in all business units, sectors and groups, performance can be tracked and benchmarked, and improvements can be implemented based on best practices.
